ABOUT the AV lady
I have a confession to make…
I am a video junkie! I became hooked in about 1985 when I created my first slideshow with music. My love for video grew quickly and continues growing even today.
In the late 90’s my husband and I owned a production company. During the business week we worked with our corporate clients and on weekends we shot weddings and and other private events. After consistently working sixteen hours a day, seven days a week we decided to close up shop so we could, once again, have a life.
I have been involved in the AV ministry at our church since 2003. First as a volunteer shooting and editing television promos and special events held by the music ministry. Then, in 2006, I joined the church staff as AV Coordinator. We air live on the radio and I edit our weekly one hour service for broadcast on two local cable television stations and the internet. We use four cameras and two soundboards, among other things, during our service. I recently returned to volunteer status in the AV ministry which affords me the time needed to launch and maintain an exciting new online service.
Of all the video projects I have created over the years, I have the most fun when creating videos for my family. They are a blast to make and they get viewed over and over for years. Long after the work was done.
I will be sharing lots of tips here at “theAVlady.com”! From planning your video, to shooting and editing it, and distributing it to others. If it’s related to video production it will be covered here. I will also be covering tons of related topics like installing home theaters, game systems, and computer technology, just to name a few. If it has anything to do with video, chances are you will be able to find information on the subject here.
There will be lots of video tutorials. Plus, I’ll be reviewing the newest and best video related products out there. I will also give you a heads up when I come across a bad product so you don’t get burned.
